Most dogs love the snow. They look so adorable bouncing around and making nosedives in the white powder. But not every dog shares the same love for winter weather.

Tiny 8-months-old Terrier mix, Linus, has a hard time adjusting to the extreme cold of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. His family found him abandoned near a gas station when he was barely 4-weeks-old, and decided to adopt him. But soon, they realized that the heavy snowfall over the winter had dulled his spirits.

To help Linus endure the season, his dad, Dan McFee, decided to do something unique. He took a shovel and ploughed through the thick snow in his backyard. After hours of digging, he was able to build a cool winding snow maze for Linus.

Dad was elated to see Linus ecstatic with the result. “He loves it. I’ll come home from work and he’ll run and do laps for about 10 minutes to burn off some excess energy. Just bouncing around, having a great time,” he told CTV News.

To engage Linus further, dad uses a laser pointer to guide him through the maze at night. Dad even plans to redo the maze routes, to keep things interesting for Linus. We’ll have to admit, Linus has one cool dad!
