Witnesses Watch Man Lock Pup In A Truck After Slamming Him Hard Onto A Table

Some people continually get in trouble with the law and John Jason Childs is one of them. The Hot Springs, Arkansas man had a warrant for his arrest on harassment charges and he was recently arrested on animal cruelty charges.

Garland County sheriff’s Deputy Devyn Helms responded to an animal cruelty complaint in the area. When Helms arrived on the scene, she saw a small tan puppy locked in a truck with the windows up. She knocked on the truck window to be sure the pup was alive.

Next, Deputy Helms made contact with the puppy’s owner, John Jason Childs. She reported he “grabbed the dog out of the truck,” went to his camper, and slammed the door.

Three female witnesses told Helms they saw Childs grab the puppy and throw it over his head and into a table. He then threw the pup into the truck outside. At that point, they said the puppy was not conscious.

Animal Control was contacted and they removed the puppy from the residence. Childs was arrested and the active warrant from earlier was discovered.
