Elephant’s Caretaker Swats At Her With A Rag, But It’s The Next Move That Wins Everyone’s Heart

Elephants are one of the most majestic and intelligent creatures on earth. Sadly, many are abused and hunted. But the Elephant Nature Park of Chaing Mai, Thailand, and its volunteers, offer refuge to those less fortunate.

Sangduen “Lek” Chailert, the founder of the Save the Elephant Foundation in Thailand, has developed a beautiful relationship with one of the elephants named Faamai.

Lek sings a sweet lullaby and swats flies for Faamai who clearly loves the interaction. You can see that the two are like best friends!

It’s so beautiful to watch this giant animal be completely vulnerable to her keeper. And you can see the love that Lek has for Faamai. As if it were her very own baby she was lulling to sleep.

As soon as Lek starts to sing, Faamai pulls her in for a big hug! It’s so sweet!

Apparently, elephants love lullabies! I didn’t get the memo, so consider yourself officially in the know.

Watch the video to see what happens after Faamai gets cozy with Lek.
