Every day we hear lots of heartbreaking stories about animals that are treated inhumanely and left to die painful deaths. However, it is always heartwarming to hear that some people are willing to put their own lives and interest on the line in order to save an animal that is in need, no matter how much effort is needed.
These people put these poor animals first and let go of their own interest for the poor animals’ sake, and we appreciate their work too much, for they give those hopeless animals a second chance in life.
Four puppies are alive thank to the kindness of a Good Samaritan. A driver saw a dog scratching at a box and crying next to a road in Boonville, MO. The driver decided to investigate and noticed that the box was taped shut.
It was shocking what they found inside the box – four puppies! And the other dog was their mother!
The box was only around feet long so the puppies were crammed in close together. But because they were squished in together, the puppies helped keep each other warm in the cold weather.
The Good Samaritan contacted Midwest Animal ResQ and the babies and their mom were taken to the Crain Veterinary Center.
It was a miracle that they were found when they were.
If they hadn’t been, they probably would not have survived long in the cold.
The four little puppies are doing much better!
According to Midwest Animal ResQ, “They have scabies, worms, and will need daily meds, and weekly injections, but otherwise are doing well!”
