Dozer, a shelter Pit Bull, has always been the life of the shelter with his goofy grins and playful antics. But the poor dog somehow ended up being rejected for years. Gradually, Dozer’s anticipating smiles turned into depressing sobs, and soon, he stopped eating entirely.

The shelter workers were worried by Dozer’s numbing shutdown. Dozer felt so unwanted that nothing would motivate him to eat a morsel. In desperation, the workers took a photo of him with a sad message, and pleaded to animal lovers on social media to help him.
The shelter’s post quickly went viral as concerned dog lovers banded together to help Dozer find a family of his own. Within a period of 2 days, the shelter was flooded with a massive amount of calls and adoption applications!

A man named John was finally picked to be the one to adopt Dozer! John had recently lost his 13-year-old Pit Bull to a heart attack, and he wanted to be Dozer’s dad more than anything else in the world.

Today, John and Dozer always stay beside each other like constant companions. We are amazed at the power of the community to turn a heartbroken dog’s misery into blissful happiness. We thank every single person who helped Dozer find a home!
