Homeless Man In Hospital, Nurses Grab Camera When They See His ‘Family’ At The Door

They say that dog is man’s best friend. But a best friend wouldn’t let their friend go to the hospital all alone.

And since César’s best friends were a pack of dogs, they made sure they came with him to the hospital.

César was brought to the hospital around 3 a.m. on Sunday for a medical condition he has been suffering from. The homeless man usually goes to another facility in town, so he had to explain his condition to the staffers at Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Brazil.

The hospital staff realized that César wasn’t alone. In fact, he had some friends who came to the hospital to make sure that he was OK. They were just a little surprised by who they saw. And the fact that they had four legs.

It was a local pack of dogs waiting right outside the hospital’s front door for their master.

Healthcare worker Cris Mamprim learned that César took care of the dogs. He would make sure that they were well fed and would even sacrifice his own food so that the dogs could eat. He loved these dogs very much.

“They are all well taken care of and chubby,” Mamprim told The Dodo. “Seeing them like that, waiting at the door, only shows how much they are cared for and loved.”

The dogs looked quite anxious over whether or not their owner was going to be OK or not. They were so well behaved and perfectly waiting at the door for César to return.

The staff eventually felt bad for the dogs and decided to let the dogs inside. They made sure César was OK and gave him all the medication he needed. They also offered some food, which he, of course, shared with his dogs.

“Believe me, he ate some and saved a bit to give the dogs later,” Mamprim said.

César spent about an hour at the hospital before being discharged.

Mamprim watched César walk out of the hospital with his dogs following him happily knowing their dad was going to be OK. Mamprim was so moved over how much César loved his dogs and how much his dogs loved him that she made a post about it on Facebook.

“With so many people out there, I came across this scene today. In the hospital where I work, at 3 am, while his owner (street dweller) was being treated, his companions waited at the door. A simple person, without luxury, who depends on the help to overcome the hunger, the cold, the pains, the wickedness of the world, has the best companions with him, and the exchange is reciprocal.”

“Exchange of love, affection, warmth, understanding. A person who confessed to us that he stops eating to feed them. I do not know what his life is like, why he’s on the street, and I do not even want to know and judge him, but I admire the respect and love he has for his animals. Seeing them like this, waiting at the door, only shows how much they are well cared for and loved. Alas if they were all like this… If there were no evil, mistreatment,” she wrote, according to a Google Translation.
