Her Dogs Were Acting Weird, So She Installs Camera To See What The Dog Walker Has Been Doing

To Shelly and her husband, their rescued Yorkies were their children. The proud doggy parents did whatever it took for their kids to be happy and healthy.

Unfortunately, owning small dogs means taking them on many trips to the “bathroom.” With small bodies come small bladders, and the Yorkies had to be walked several times a day, but that just wasn’t feasible for their doggy parents.

Because of their jobs, Shelly and her husband weren’t around to constantly take them outside to relieve themselves. The couple quickly looked into hiring a dog walker.

In a video posted on December 20, 2016, Shelly explained that the dog walker would come around “once a day, around lunch time.” For a few months, everything went well.

It sounded like a foolproof plan… for a while. The 2 dogs seemed to be acting a bit strange and were still having occasional accidents. Things just seemed off, so the couple found a way to track their dog’s behavior.

Shelly and her husband installed a security camera to watch over their doggy children. They wanted to see what the Yorkies were up to when they weren’t home.

They were expecting to see some adorable dog antics, but were left with a shocking discovery instead.

  1. If you ask me, these parents were kinda stupid. I mean if they live in a house, they should have just put in a doggie door so the pups could just come & go as they needed to. They could have built a small potty area and TRAINED the pups to use that spot/area – it isn’t that hard to do. OR they could have trained their pups to use a litter box just like kitties do – I’ve got a friend whose beagle used a litter box when they lived in an apartment – it isn’t hard to train a dog and it would save you a lot of heartbreak. I just think these folks didn’t think hard enough or outside the box at all or even ask around for suggestions . . . do some research people!

  2. I was a professional dog walker/pet sitter (and still do pet sitting part time) and I worked my butt off. I walked all the dogs at all my houses regardless of the weather or how I was feeling. Some of the dogs were jerks about walking, too! This woman makes all dog walkers look bad. If you don’t want to do the job, don’t agree to it! I’m glad this owner set up cameras to catch what was going on.

  3. You know I’ve met dog walkers who have never owned a dog. I sympathize with these folks but…potty training takes 3 days with any dog over 6 months old. I know folks love their dogs to be puppies forever. Trusting someone else with your animal is as serious as a heart attack. I’d never do it (not even a vet) without them understanding what I would do to them.
