A dog named Riddick was thrown out of a moving car back in 2015 before he was rescued by Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.
Thankfully, he recovered from his injuries and was put up for adoption. That’s when Bryan Junior and his wife, Chelsea, saw his picture that the rescue had posted on Facebook, and fell head over heels for him.

The couple adopted him and he settled nicely into their home. At that point, Riddick was their only baby, but a year later they welcomed a human baby into the world.

Many people worry about how their dogs will handle a new baby, but Riddick absolutely loved their new son, Dawson. Riddick, along with their other Pit Bull, Cambria, never wanted to leave Dawson’s side.

Every time Dawson cried, Riddick and Cambria would run up to him to make sure he was okay. They even accompany Bryan and Chelsea while they read Dawson bedtime stories.
As Dawson grew older, he began to develop a special bond with his pups and loved them back just as much. He would never go to bed without kissing them goodnight. He loves to cuddle with them and always helps feed them.
When Dawson got extremely sick with the flu, he didn’t want to be around anyone except for Riddick. The two of them laid on the ottoman together and Riddick stayed put while Dawson tossed and turned to sleep. It was like Riddick sensed that Dawson wasn’t feeling well.
Although Riddick had been through so much in his past, he is still such a sweet, well-tempered dog. He is always ready to give affection to everyone he meets and loves getting it in return.
