A desperate dog, suffering from severe mange, starvation and a host of other problems, chose the perfect person to help him!
The poor dog looked like he had little time left. He walked up to a house that belonged to Dan Van Coppenolle and climbed upon his porch. Dan knew he couldn’t turn him away.

The Texas man posted the dog’s photo on Facebook and pleaded for help. He wrote:
“Help! This dog showed up at our home near Rio Del Sol area this morning. He has a collar with no tags and is in bad shape. Very weak and hungry.”
The stray had advance mange and was skin and bones. Dan’s Facebook post spread fast! He then received very good news:
“A kind woman who fosters unhealthy dogs just came to pick up this beautiful dog. You could tell that he was tiger-striped and his ears were clipped and was probably used for dog fighting. God is looking out for this beautiful dog.”
After the woman picked up the pup in need, she bathed him and got him settled in. This is a photo of him after a warm bath. Next stop: The vet!

The puppy-warrior needed extensive medical care. His mange was so bad, it was hard to imagine his fur would ever grow back. But with proper care, and lots of TLC, the once-bald pup now looks like this:
