Buzu the dog was extremely disturbed when he found himself abandoned on the streets of Romania. He was traumatized by the jarring harshness of the world, but he somehow learned to fend for himself over a period of 1 year.
He began scavenging for scraps from the bin, while someone from the neighborhood built him a makeshift cardboard box shelter with an old cushion.
With time, Buzu was gripped with a haunting sense of emptiness that manifested through worrying behavior patterns. He was burdened by the constant loneliness that stabbed his soul every second of the day.
All he could think of was finding a family that loved him, and he was willing to risk his life on the busy streets to find a family.

As Buzu’s health dwindled away, he grew determined to find a home for himself. Every day, he would run around busy cars begging for people to spare him a glance.
Every time he saw a passerby with a pet, his heart would light up with hope and he would chase them thinking they would embrace him. Buzu eventually realized his “undesirability” and that extinguished his will to live.
Things went further downhill for Buzu after his futile pursuit to belong to a family. Someone stole the cushion from his shelter and deprived him from the little comfort he had in that shabby cardboard.
He began losing his fur in patches as his skin disease worsened. His teeth gave away due to the rubbish food he was eating and he resigned to his sordid fate.

An anxious neighbor finally reached out to “Howl Of A Dog” and alerted them about Buzu’s chronic health. By the time the rescuers found him, Buzu was too weak and depressed to trust and interact with humans again.
However, the rescuers appealed to his broken heart and begged him to keep holding on to his dream of a better life.

This video follows Buzu’s desolate journey on the streets and captures how the shelter workers strove to do right by him. Parts of his skin were permanently damaged, but the workers didn’t lose hope and urged him to flourish in positivity.
Their efforts to help Buzu get noticed worked, and he found a fabulous forever home with an awesome family in the UK! From suffering on the wretched streets to celebrating his milestones with his new family, Buzu sure has come a long way!
