Dog takes 4 bullets saving boy from robbers – family alone couldn’t pay for surgery to save him

The German Shepherd took on the role of guard dog!

Rex, a two-year-old German shepherd, acted like how a guard dog would when burglars broke into his family home. There were two burglars who entered the Seattle home by smashing through their sliding door.

Rex ran downstairs to them scare off and then upstairs to protect a 16-year-old teen who had been hiding in his bedroom closet. The brave dog held his ground and attacked the intruders – lunging his body weight at the two men, who then proceeded to brutally beat him up.

Remembering the 16-year-old, the dog quickly retreated upstairs even though he was in a bad shape when the two burglars ransacked the ground floor.

The burglars continued to ransack the house, room by room and were headed upstairs. Rex heard them coming and tried his best to defend the room and his teenage owner. The teen called 911 while Rex lunged himself at them. To his owner’s shock, they shot him three times in the neck, leg and knee.

Thankfully, the sound of police car sirens scared the burglars off. When officers arrived at the scene, their first thought was that Rex was dead. However, this loyal companion was still alive – and in need of immediate medical aid. He was then rushed off to the vet for treatment ASAP.
