Army Veteran Can’t Leave House Because Of PTSD, But His Chocolate Labrador Helps Him Every Day

Millions of Americans serve our country everyday, providing us protection and safety in place of their own.

For one army veteran, coming back home proved to be a huge struggle for him.

McLean Raybon, a veteran Army Airborne Specialist returned to his home in Texas and struggled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Something very common for returning veterans to struggle with.

McLean was scared to leave his own house.

Everything seemed dark and grey for the vet, but the light did come back. And the light came back in the form of a sweet chocolate lab named Merrick.

The transformation of Mclean after getting Merrick was astonishing. From not going outside his house beforehand, to being able to take on whatever new challenges may come forward.

While Mclean gained a furry friend to help him on his journey, Merrick also gained a loving family, and a purpose that any doggy would be proud of.

Thanks to Merrick, Mclean can live his life with his wife and two kids happily and calmly. No more fear holding him back, but instead, a cute lab in tow to move forward.
