576 Border Collies Show Up To The Same Australian Park To Break World Record

If you found yourself in the same room as an adorable border collie, chances are you’d be happy to spend time with the lovable pooch.

But what if you found yourself among 576 border collies? That would be insane!

A park in Australia recently became the site of the world record for most border collies gathered in one place. All 576 dogs and their owners showed up to the park in Adelaide to raise money for several dog charities. The event was organized by the Border Collie Owners of South Australia (BCOSA) and managed to raise a whopping $4,700. It allowed mixed-breed dogs as well — as long as they looked like border collies.

The entrance fee was $5, but the owners and their pooches were able to participate in a variety of activities, including “dogilates” — where owners could learn how to do pilates with their pups. Sample treats were available, too, like “puppicino” probiotic drinks!

The previous record was set in 2013, when 503 border collies showed up.

The attempt will unfortunately not be recognized by Guinness World Records, as the organization does not keep track of breed-specific records.

Regardless, BCOSA says it’s the largest gathering of border collies in history! With a number that high, we’re sure it’s true!

Please SHARE if you would have loved to witness all these adorable border collies assembled in one place!
