19. Love me when I’m old just as much as you did when I was young.

I might not be the cute puppy that I once was, but I still love you just as much now as I did then. Please take care of me when my body doesn’t work like it used to.

20. Come with me on my final journey.

I know it will be difficult, but I need you by my side when the time comes for me to leave this world. Every moment down to my last breath is easier if I have you with me.

And even when I'm gone… remember these words.

“People are born so that they can learn how to live a good Life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right? Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.”

– Spoken by a 6 year old boy who had just lost his family's 10 year old, Belker, to cancer.

  1. I know what you are feeling! We just had to say goodbye to the most gentle, loving soul I have ever been blessed to share a part of my life with two weeks ago. Cooper. He is in my FB pic. I am crying just thinking of all the wonderful gift these precious, fury people bring into our lives. Anyone who has one of these bundles of love and don’t treat them as family, have no clue what they are missing out on. I truly hope you are comforted knowing that your precious Emily is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. Probably playing with my Cooper who is waiting for me. We never loose their love. It lives in us forever. Namaste

  2. This made me cry. We had to make that awful decision last Sept. when we had to say goodbye to our sweet Coco Puffs. She will be in my heart forever. Feb. 8th of this year would’ve been her 14th birthday. We had almost 14 yrs. of love with her. <3

  3. I WANTED TO ASK FOR SOMETHING … I NEED HELP. My cocker spaniel has begun to show super aggressive behaviors to the point that he has attacked me violently twice while he was rooting a bone two meters away from me without me provoking him. I MOVED, and he just attacked me and bited me in the hand. EUTANASIA IS NOT AN OPTION AND DUE TO MY WAY OF LIFE – right now I am about to leave Spain with him – I can not afford to leave it in the hands of trainers. MY QUESTION IS THIS. I wish all the good of the world for that animal and I would like to do everything in my power to make HIM happy and so that I can live in my company, do you think that the use of PROZAC or similar would be indicated?

LOUKA has shown violent behavior in the following situations FOR DEFENSE OF FOOD, for defense of bones or objects or, more rarely, for sudden movements .. so I do not know if it is aggression by dominance, fear or a mixture of both, combined with a genetic deficit of serotonin (it’s a one-year-old roan spaniel). To give you an idea, when I play to throw him a stick, he never gives me the stick back if I do not reward it with food … I GUESS it will give u an idea about this strong sense of property…

MY second QUESTION is related to behavioral therapy- This is the thing.. some experts like Cesar MILLAN say that it is best to confront the dog with a racket and take away the food to show him that we are not a threat. OTHERS, HOWEVER, say the opposite. I DO NOT WANT TO SUBMIT MY DOG TO A CHEMICAL DRUG TREATMENT without first testing other behavioral therapies, but I do not know what is most appropriate. Can someone advise me? Has any member of this group had a similar problem with their cocker?

What are the behavioral exercises you would recommend me for my fella? the experts confuse me because they usually say opposite things… …

  4. This is my problematic but loving fella… He is from Barcelona… Seriously, I AM PRETTTY WORRIED ABOUT HIM AND ABOUT ME… We can be very happy but I NEED TO FIND THE WAY of convincing him i am here to be his friend… no to take his bone off…
